HVAC Software Differences

HVAC Software Differences

No two forms of software are completely alike. If they were, there wouldn’t be multiple forms of the same software. There’s always a different way to approach formatting software, which some people will find better than the other way. HVAC service software is no different, as different HVAC companies have different features and fires to put out. If you want to know these differences, they are as follows.

#1. Customer communication
Some HVAC software come equipped with their own customer service format. Some don’t, trusting that the company using them already has a dedicated customer service platform. Whether or not the one you’re looking at has this will usually be displayed front and center on the software’s website. Customer service formatting is considered a selling point, after all, so those that have it want potential buyers to know they have it.

#2. HVAC unit tracking
Some HVAC software allows you to track HVAC systems that you’re working on. From how many times it’s broken down—and why—to when it was installed, and even what company installed it originally. This is also a huge selling point for those that include it, so search the software’s website to see if they include it. While not a critical system to any HVAC software, it can provide needed insight into a system that one of your employees is working on, and even show what about it needs fixing.

#3. Management format
Probably one of the biggest differences is how the system and app is formatted. This is an obvious difference, since everyone wants their version of the product to stand out from the crowd. The best way to do this is to make it look cosmetically different from its peers. Whether this is a good or bad thing all depends on how well the format and the navigation of the system blend together. In best case scenarios, formatting and navigation are perfectly in tune with each other, with the cosmetic look of the app/site perfectly complimenting the way it’s meant to be navigated, drawing the viewer’s eye exactly where to go.

There are many differences between HVAC service software, but these three are some of the most common differences. These are not exclusive to each other, however, as many HVAC systems have all three of these features. One example is HvacBizPro, an HVAC system that has all three of the listed features and more, promising a faster and more efficient schedule and top-notch customer service.
